The Implementation Roadmap

These nine steps are the path I’d build if you were starting from zero. I don’t hand over recommendations and call it done. I build them. They’re not a gate you have to clear before I’ll start, either. Engagements usually start somewhere in the middle, with something specific that needs building, and that’s exactly where we start.

The honest part

Starting in the middle of this list means some things won’t be achievable yet. I’ll tell you which ones, and why, before you commit to anything. That’s not a caveat. It’s how you’ll know I’m not just telling you what you want to hear.

Here’s what keeps that honest instead of a bait and switch: I build the thing you asked for first. If the data underneath it isn’t solid yet, the thing I build will show you exactly where it runs out, because it will visibly fail to answer certain questions. That ceiling makes the case for the foundation work better than any slide of mine ever could, and we fix it from inside the build, not as a demand before it starts.

I have worked this way across twenty years of Fortune 500 delivery: build what was asked for, ship it, and say plainly what it can and cannot answer yet. You will hear the limits from me before you hear them from your own leadership.
